Kissimmee's history is relatively young and hence it isn't home to a wide variety of historical landmarks or monuments. However, Kissimmee played its part in the 20th century's biggest military conflicts and as such, many of its monuments and important landmarks are tributes to those who died while representing their country. The striking red-brick Osceola County Courthouse was built in the late 1880s and opened its doors in 1890, with a grand ceremony. Featuring Romanesque-style architecture and three storeys, Kissimmee's beautiful courthouse is the oldest courthouse still in use in the state of Florida.

Otherwise known as the Makinson-Carson Post 10, Kissimmee's American Legion Home is a historic building named after two of Kissimmee's WWI heroes. A monument dedicated to Billie Makinson and Nat Carson stands in front of the building.

The Bataan Corregidor Memorial was created by the local Filipino-American community in conjunction with the City of Kissimmee. This Kissimmee monument is a tribute to the Americans and Filipinos who gave their lives during WWII, especially at Bataan and Corregidor.

The Monument of States is an unusual tower containing around 1,500 stones from all of America's 50 states and from 22 foreign countries. This 50-foot / 15-meter tall construction was the creation of Dr. C.W. Bressler-Pettis, a physician and prominent Kissimmee resident.
